Repeating the tests, I experienced the exact same issues as originally described. I then used the 10.14.5 combo updater on the fresh Mojave install. ![]() I performed all the same tests and everything was fine, just as under High Sierra 10.13.6. To rule out any peculiarities with my system, I installed a fresh copy of Mojave on an external drive and upgraded it to 10.14.4 with a combo updater I had backed up. I tried the MacOS 9 app and it was affected in the same way as the SheepShaver app, as described above. I am going to conduct some tests under High Sierra 10.13.6 to establish for certain that this is a Mojave related issue and not my VMs. But if I launch a VM successfully, quit the application normally, and then immediately open another VM it will often result in a freeze up. I come back 5 minutes later and launch another and it is also fine. For example, I launch one VM and it works fine. One thing I have noticed, is that the frequency of the freeze ups seems to be reduced if I wait a while between launching various VMs. I also tried swapping in backups of my DMG files, to rule out corruption.Įxtfs /Users/almeath/Documents/SheepShaver I have tested with and without hard cursor enabled, with the same results. However the problem also occurs with the 1 April 2019 build. /SDL/video_sdl.I am using a 1440p non-retina screen. /SDL/video_sdl.cpp:1168:99: error: invalid new-expression of abstract class type ‘SDL_monitor_desc’ġ168 | new SDL_monitor_desc(VideoModes, (video_depth)color_depth, default_id) /SDL/video_sdl.cpp: In function ‘bool VideoInit(bool)’: I hope you can take a look at these issues. In the SheepShaver Linux prefs ignoreillegal is set to false, while I believe it might be best set to true. This means there is no way of starting a clean installation from a real CD without manually editing the prefs for both. When I manually edit the prefs and add an entry like "cdrom /home/cdimage.iso" Basilisk and SheepShaver will not boot from the iso. On Linux Basilisk and SheepShaver are able to boot from a real cd, so by default there should be a pref like "cdrom /dev/cdrom" which now is absent. ![]() ![]() On Linux host a clean start without prior existing prefs of Basilisk oand SheepShaver create the sets of prefs pasted below. When testing the Linux apppimages builds for Basilisk and SheepShaver from I noticed several issues with the prefs on Linux hosts when running the Basilisk and SheepShaver GUIs These also occur with my own Linux builds. 17:40:02.702332+0300 BasiliskII MessageTracer: load_domain_whitelist_search_tree:73: Search tree file's format version number (0) is not supported 17:40:02.584863+0300 BasiliskII saved enable noise cancellation setting is the same as the default (=0) WARNING: Unknown preferences keyword 'mixer' WARNING: Unknown preferences keyword 'dsp' Basilisk II V1.1 by Christian Bauer et al.
